Struggling to Shop

Since I’ve begun to work off the farm, I’ve had to step my wardrobe game up a little bit in terms of owning some work-appropriate attire. When I’m working at home, jeans, a sports bra, a tank top, work boots and a cap is all I need, but these items aren’t exactly business casual.

In my search for more sophisticated attire, I have come to the realization that shopping not only sucks (I have never been a fan), but is really difficult. It seems as though I cannot come across any brands or shops that appeal to me regarding what they offer, and further, the seldom time I do come across something I like, I’m expected to pay an arm and a leg for it.

What gives?

Stores like Winners and Ardenes are great because they offer such a wide variety of styles and items and they’re super affordable, but I don’t live in an area where these types of stores are a ten-minute drive away. I prefer online shopping (I know, I know), but it’s becoming more and more difficult to purchase clothing online because prices and my expectations are high. I also tend to shy away from buying certain items of clothing online, for example, pants, because sizing differs throughout different brands, and you just never know if you’re going to be able to button them up once they arrive, regardless if they’re your typical size.

Somewhere I tend to purchase clothes from is Old Navy, but it honestly seems like they update their merchandise quarterly. I’ve checked their website almost every week for the past few months, and it doesn’t look as though anything has changed. They’re also usually out of a majority of sizes.

Where do you shop for business casual clothing? Help a girl out, please!
