Product review: Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Definer

When it comes to applying makeup, I find eyebrows to be among the trickiest parts of the face to enhance. For whatever reason, my eyebrows have always been the bane of my existence when it comes to my makeup routine, and over the years I’ve somewhat struggled to find an eyebrow product that makes doing my brows an easy feat.

I’ve been using the Anastasia Dip Brow Pomade for quite a while now. As much as I love this product for its smooth application and precision, I’ve grown tired with the shade ‘blonde’ looking more like black, and I’ve also come to realize how easy it is to be a tad too heavy handed with this stuff. I asked my sister for some advice, and she suggested trying out the Anastasia Brow Definer.

Not to be confused with the Anastasia Brow Wiz, which I also have and love, the Brow Definer is “a triangular-tipped, retractable pencil to outline and fill in brows,” says the product’s description via the Sephora website. “Featuring a unique, triangular tip, Brow Definer’s retractable pencil design is ideal for outlining and filling your brows in one fluid motion. The custom spooley end is created with a precise width and firmness to seamlessly blend color.”

The Brow Wiz is made without parabens, sulfates and phthalates, and it’s cruelty free. It’s most efficient when applied lightly to the brow with only a small amount of product being twisted out of the product’s tube, and it’s a handy little tool to fill in sparse areas of the brows and also to help shape them. This product retails for $30 from Sephora, and based on my experience with it so far, I absolutely recommend it if you’re like me and struggle to perfect your brows. It’s even better when used in combination with the Brow Wiz.
