Clothing

Though I would not necessarily classify myself as an ‘avid’ shopper, I do have a select grouping of stores I tend to migrate towards when I am in need of some new threads.

Back when I was in grade eight, I was that typical, naive and ignorant teenage girl that believed with all of her heart that she needed to wear clothes from stores like Abercrombie & Fitch and Hollister.

Let’s just say thank the Lord above I am past that stage. Not only are those stores a total rip-off, but who wants to wear the same clothes as every other teenage girl on the planet? Yea, exactly. Plus you look like a walking billboard for the company with their logo stamped across your boobs.

So, I broadened my horizons and started venturing into some different and cheaper stores to purchase clothes. One of my favourite stores to check out when I am in need of some cheap but classy clothes in Ardenes. The Ardenes in the Lynden Park Mall in Brantford, Ontario, is huge, and they have an awesome selection in terms of shirts, pants, skirts, leggings, jewelry, even shoes. I own probably three pairs of shoes from Ardenes and they’re still going strong a year later. The prices are unbeatable, and their styles are always up to date and in touch with whatever trends are recent.

Another store I really like checking out for reasonable yet good quality clothing is H&M. I am not going to lie, for the longest time I was under the impression that H&M was a pricey store, but I was definitely wrong. They have really neat and unique pieces, and almost all of the pants I own are from H&M. It’s a really great place to go.

Some other stores I tend to gravitate towards when I am in need of some new clothes are American Eagle (but it can be a little pricey, so always check the clearance rack), Winners, Aeropostale (I know, but don’t judge – it’s come a long way) and Old Navy.

What are some of your favourite places to shop for clothes? Let me know in the comments!

Thanks for reading. :)
