Want to curl your hair without using heat? Read this

For those who know me personally, you’re aware of the fact that my hair is quite long. The ends hang past the top of my ass, and it actually gets caught in my pants after using the bathroom, to give you an idea of the length.

I’ve had long hair for a few years now, and as much as I appreciate and enjoy it, it certainly has its downsides, much like just about anything else in this world. I used to style my hair with heat a hell of a lot more than I do now; when I’m working on the farm, I do not give two shits about how my hair looks, but for the odd occasion requiring me to leave the confines of my home, I do like to put a little effort in now and then.

I use a curling wand when I style my hair, and while I love the wand I use and the curls it adds to my hair, I don’t necessarily love the heat element. I’ve been seeing heatless curling rods online popping up with promising reviews, so I decided to try one out to see for myself if they are capable of curling my hair without heat.

My goodness, people, I was blown away by the results.

I ordered the Kitsch Satin Heatless Curling Set from Amazon for a whopping $15 dollars, and I cannot believe how well this product curled my hair. The kit comes with one bendable satin curling rod and two satin scrunchies, and to use it, you clip the top of the curling rod to the top of the base of your head, divide your hair into two parts on either side of your face, and wrap your hair around the rod, all the way to the bottom, and secure your hair in place with the scrunchies.

I do bear a striking resemblance to George Washington when I have the whole device rocking as it gives some relatively strong pilgrim vibes, but aside from looking a bit wonky, this product is absolutely worth the buy. It is comfortable to sleep in, and gives your hair beautiful, loose curls without the use of any heat.
