Television and/or film are components of entertainment that I would wager most of us make use of. In today’s world, anyone who doesn’t own a television or watch it is a minority, and while I have tremendous respect for anyone who prefers not to own a television, I have no interest in its absence in my own life.
I consider television an integral element of my own wind-down time in the evenings, and while some people might consider that paradoxical, television is something that has always had the ability to calm my mind down, depending on what I am watching. I try to abstain from watching intense or action-packed productions just before I go to bed, and instead like watching more light-hearted shows, for example, The Office or Brooklyn Nine-Nine.
As of late, however, I’m finding myself wanting more when it comes to television. I’ve always been a repeat-watcher, meaning when I discover a show or movie (usually shows) that I absolutely love, I tend to watch it over and over again because I don’t normally get tired of it. Recently, though, I’ve noticed that even my familiar favourites are leaving me a little disappointed, and so I wanted to put some feelers out and ask all of you what your television show preferences are.
To give you an idea of what shows I enjoy, the following are some of my all-time favourites:
- Sons of Anarchy
- Game of Thrones
- The Witcher
- Vikings
- Vikings: Valhalla
- The Last Kingdom
- The Office
- Brooklyn Nine-Nine
- Derry Girls
- The Boys
I also love documentaries, but these are not typically shows I watch more than once as they often deal with true crime, and once is enough for me in this context.
Please, good people of the internet, help a gal out and grant me some television recommendations.
