Physicians Formula Makeup Review

I recently purchased a few different makeup products form the Physicians Formula cosmetics line, so I figured I would give my own personal review of such products in hopes of providing some clarification to anyone who is wondering about the quality of the products.

Physicians Formula is a makeup brand available for purchase at your average drug store, in case you’re unsure of where to find it. I got my products from Shoppers Drug Mart.

I recently purchased the Physicians Formula CC Cream, the Physicians Formula Super BB All-in-1 Beauty Balm Concealer, the Physicians Formula Mineral Wear Talc-Free Mineral Oh So Radiant Powder, the Physicians Formula Mineral Wear Talc-Free Mineral Airbrushing Blush, and the Physicians Formula Glow Boosting Season to Season Bronzer.

My reasoning for purchasing products from this line is because a vast majority of their products are non-comedogenic, meaning they will not clog your pores and cause acne. Their website is super informative, so check it our if you’re wanting to do some research: http://www.physiciansformula.com/en-ca/default.html

The CC Cream is decent, though I would not repurchase it. It is not full coverage, and it has a very dewy finish. I have oily skin to begin with, so when I wear this product I look like a shining beacon, and not in a good way. Also, the colour range is limited and misleading. I picked up the shade Light, and it’s more of a Jersey Shore orange. It’s a great product for someone with dry skin or someone who does not like a full coverage foundationn, but overall it isn’t for me.

The Beauty Balm Concealer is not the best for concealing blemishes, but it does a great job concealing under-eye circles. It has a great applicator, meaning you can be precise when you’re applying the product, and the cooler range is definitely more accurate than the CC Cream.

The Talc-Free powder and the Talc-Free blush are definite successes for me. The powder has great coverage and provides a nice matter finish to your face once you’re done applying all of your makeup, and the blush is high in pigment but not too overpowering.

The Bronzer is nice, and it’s definitely versatile seeing as it has 4 shades of bronzer in one compact. The only thing I’m not crazy about is its shimmer. It has a decent amount of sparkle in it, and I tend to prefer makeup without shimmer. But, it is great to use for a subtle contour, and again the selection of shades is great.

I hope my little review helps you if you’re interested in trying some products from Physicians Formula! Let me know if you purchase anything as well as your take on it.

Thanks for reading! :)
