Product Review: Physicians Formula Argan Wear 2-in-1 Argan Oil & Coconut Water Primer

I’m not one to beat a dead horse, and if you follow my blog, you are aware that on numerous occasions I have discussed the importance of wearing a primer under makeup. I will refrain from getting into the details of that again to spare you an eye roll, but I have discovered a new primer that I prefer over the Cover FX primer, which is what I have been using for a while.

The Physicians Formula Argan Wear 2-in-1 Argan Oil & Coconut Water Primer is available at most drug stores, and it retails for $20.00. I was hesitant to try this primer because coconut ingredients tend to cause me to breakout, but this primer has coconut water, not oil, and coconut oil is what breaks a lot of individuals out. Just to clarify.

This product is great in terms of its versatility. It works as a primer, a setting spray, and a moisturizer, so you’re definitely getting your money’s worth. I actually put this on my face immediately after applying my toner, and because I have oily skin, I have not had to use a moisturizer in the morning at all. If you have dry skin, however, I would recommend using a moisturizer before applying this product.

This product comes in a glass bottle with a spray nozzle, so application is easy and the spray dries quickly as well. It dries down matte and makeup applies on top of it like a dream. If you’re not one for fragrance, you may not enjoy the scent of this product, as it has a subtle coconut smell, but it fades within a few minutes after spraying it on.

Overall, I would definitely recommend this product to an individual looking for a budget-friendly, money conscious primer. I really enjoy it, and a little goes a long way – 3 or 4 pumps will get you through the day without any issue.

Try it out and let me know what you think!
