If you took one look at me, you probably wouldn’t believe me when I tell you I tan relatively easily in the summer months here in Ontario. I say you arguably wouldn’t believe me because I’m fair; I have blonde hair and blue eyes, and normally speaking, we fair folk aren’t super friendly with the sun.
I get pretty dark over the course of the summer because I work outdoors. My upper body, by September, normally has a nice bronze tint to it. My legs, however, are as white as Casper himself because I wear pants when I’m working on the farm for safety and convenience purposes.
Most women’s shorts do not have pockets big enough to carry anything relatively useful to us, anyways.
I figured I should probably try a self-tanner on my legs for the odd occasion on which I’m required to wear a dress, so when I received the St. Tropez Self Tan Express Advanced Bronzing Mousse as a gift a couple of years ago, I was eager to try it out.
This stuff is not cheap, but from what I’ve heard, it’s the best self-tanner on the market. I’ve had great results with it; it is easy to apply using the accompanying buffing mitt, and depending on how dark you want your tan to be, you can leave it on for up to three hours. Rinse it off with water and you’re good to go.
This stuff doesn’t leave a gross, sticky film on the skin like other self-tanners I have used in the past do, and it doesn’t smell like shit, either, which I consider rare among any type of tanning products. If you’re wanting a natural-looking tan without the sun exposure, this stuff might be your best bet.
