Cleaning is something that has relevance to just about all of us, with the odd exception.
If you are someone that, for whatever reason, does not partake in cleaning tasks on a daily basis, please know you are the exception I speak of, and furthermore, congratulations. You have certainly done something right in your life.
I don’t mind some cleaning jobs, and others, I truly despise, for example, cleaning my shower. Give me the most revolting toilet to scrub over cleaning my shower any day; I don’t even know why it is I despise having to clean my own shower, but I do, and it is a tremendous pain in my ass.
I thought I would share some cleaning hacks with all of you to possibly help someone out, and these hacks come from thekitchn.com.
“Clean Your Oven with a Dishwasher Tablet: Turns out, the humble dishwasher tablet can be used for so much more than just cleaning dishes. We love it as a tool for cleaning ovens. And even toilets. Seriously.
“Use Vinegar to Unclog Faucet Heads: If you have hard water where you live, you may find that the faucet on your kitchen sink or even your shower head gets clogged from time to time. Just soak the faucet in vinegar and then let the water run. It’ll clear up on its own.
“Squirt Some Dish Soap Down the Drain: Finding your drain a little slow to, um, drain? Squirt a little dish soap down there and run the hot water. Dish soap is formulated to cut through grease. Usually that grease is on your dishes and cookware, but it can also accumulate in your drain/pipes.
“Use Oven Cleaner on the Outside of Your Stained Dutch Oven: According to Reddit users (and confirmed by us here at Kitchn!), oven cleaner really can remove cooked-on grease and other stubborn residue from the outside of enamel Dutch ovens, without damaging the color or finish,” the web page explains.
Check back tomorrow for more helpful cleaning hacks you can actually implement in your own life.
