I am blessed in the sense I am not someone who often deals with dry, cracked skin. My hands tend to dry out once the cold weather hits, as do my lips, but after some exfoliation and moisturization, neither cause me any excessive trouble.
With my hands occasionally getting on the crispy side, I do like to invest in some good-quality moisturizing cream. My go-to is usually Vaseline, but I received the Moroccanoil Body Lotion as a Christmas gift from my sister-in-law, and so far, I’m finding it difficult to go back to using Vaseline.
I already use Moroccanoil shampoo and conditioner, in addition to hair oil, so it is safe to say I thoroughly enjoy the signature Moroccanoil scent. It is very distinguishable – warm, sweet and smooth without being too powerful, and the body lotion is no exception to this heavenly scent.
A little goes a long way with the body lotion; one pump is more than enough to completely nourish my hands, cuticles and wrists, and it does not leave any sort of greasy residue like some moisturizers and lotions do. Here is a description of the product from the Moroccanoil website:
“Experience weightless hydration with the Body Lotion collection. The ultra-light, fast-absorbing formula features a blend of moisturizing oils—including argan, tsubaki, and evening primrose oils—and soothing aloe leaf extract to leave skin softer, smoother, and more radiant. Available in six Mediterranean-inspired scents and packaged in a recyclable bottle. Paraben-free. Mineral Oil-free. Sulfate-free.”
A bottle of the body lotion retails for $34, which I realize is not exactly cheap. As I said, I received the body lotion as a gift, therefore I didn’t purchase it, but I might end up having to, depending on how infatuated I become with this stuff.
Moroccanoil Body Lotion is lovely stuff, and it makes a wonderful gift, speaking from experience.
