I haven’t discussed anything related to the paranormal realm for quite some time now, and for this reason, allow me to state that I am not a supernatural professional. I’m not a ghost hunter, nor am I a paranormal investigator, a sensitive or a psychic; I just happen to be fascinated by the supernatural world and enjoy educating myself on the matter.
Skeptics are inevitable when working with anything paranormal. There are plenty of individuals who refuse to believe that anything supernatural even exists, let alone acknowledge the realm as a whole, and while I respect differing opinions on the matter, I do not respect a complete and utter disregard for how dangerous incorrectly and irresponsibly dabbling in the paranormal realm can be.
There is nothing wrong in engaging with amateur paranormal investigative work, assuming the person immersing themselves in this sort of investigative work has educated themselves on the danger that can present itself. It is also worth drawing a distinction between ghost hunting and paranormal investigations – ghost hunting typically means trying to secure physical evidence of an actual ghost, for example, seeing an apparition or hearing voices. Paranormal investigations can involve ghosts, but they can involve a whole plethora of other supernatural entities that can be positively lethal, depending on the power, strength, and evilness of an entity, for example, a demon or a poltergeist.
Not believing in the supernatural world is one thing, but deliberately choosing to meddle and disrespect things we do not understand is another. Any hauntings involving dark energy, like a demon, can literally be fatal, and it is infuriating to know that there are people who intentionally provoke these types of evil for nothing more than a jump scare.
The supernatural and paranormal realms are not ones to be taken lightly, and working in either demands tremendous protection and self-preservation in order to be successful. Be wary.
