Fragrance is something I’ve always been an avid fan of. If I recall correctly, I believe I started wearing perfume when I was in the seventh grade; I received a bottle of Juicy Couture perfume as a gift from a lovely young man, and ever since, perfume and fragrance are things I always have on hand.
Candles also fit into the fragrance categorization, in my own opinion, and you can bet I have a solid collection of these as well. My issue with candles, however, is that because I’m not really spending long periods of time in my home aside from in the evenings, I don’t really have an opportunity to burn them. Could I burn them when I’m home in the evenings? Yes, I certainly could. But, I’m positively terrified to fall asleep while one is still burning, and so I refrain from igniting my scently children and allow them to collect dust in a dismal, faraway cupboard.
That is, I did, until my husband got my a bloody fantastic thing called a candle warmer for my birthday.
Candle warmers are pretty much what the name suggests – they warm a candle, and in doing so, allow the wax of a candle to melt and release its divine aroma without ever having to actually light a wick. No flame, no fear.
I think perhaps candle warmers spawned after the invention of wax melts, which are essentially the same as a candle warmer, except instead of warming an entire candle, they warm smaller cubes of wax.
The one my husband got me is from Amazon, and I fucking love it. It’s chic and affordable, and it has a few different settings to brighten or dim the light of the lamp. I’ve used it almost every night since I got it, and I doubt its use will slow anytime soon.
