Before anyone comes for my throat because it technically is not yet Fall, allow me to stipulate that I am entirely aware of this. It is still summer, and while Fall might not be here just yet, the sight of leaves changing colour and slowly falling has me excited for my absolutely favourite season a little bit ahead of schedule.
I wish we could live in a world in which it was Autumn year-round, but I realize that is entirely unrealistic, and furthermore, how detrimental that would be for ecosystems, animals, crops, etc. But, if scientific advancements ever point us in the direction of having Fall 12 months of the year, sign a girl up.
This might sound a bit stupid, but one of my favourite things about Fall is the cooler temperatures and the wardrobe changes that come with it. Autumn is my favourite season for fashion because I love boots, and scarves, and sweaters, and essentially all things cozy.
I adore the colours of Fall. Rich reds, browns, yellows and oranges adorn the trees and bushes, and come Thanksgiving and Halloween, the decorations affiliated with both give me tremendous joy.
I’ve always been an avid fan of Halloween and spooky season, and while I’m not sure as of yet if Blaine and I will be dressing up, I sincerely hope so.
Warm, sweet pies, hot coffee and naturally the Thanksgiving spread are a few more reasons why I adore Fall, and of course, Halloween candies and goodies.
Fall also signifies the fair season, and my family and I have been going to the Norfolk County Fair since my sister and I were children. I won’t be able to go on any rides this year because of my concussion, but I’m still looking forward to the food, sounds and sights that make the fair so wonderful.
What do you love about Fall?
