With 2024 coming to its close, I thought I would offer a summation of the highs and lows of this year for myself, personally, and, hopefully, encourage all of you to do the same. While a year can simultaneously feel like both the longest and shortest span of time, sometimes we forget all of what has transpired in the last 12 months, so taking the time to reflect and remember really isn’t such a bad idea.
There is no particular order to the following highs and lows of 2024.
My husband, Blaine, turned 30 this past year, so that was a milestone for him.
We have officially had our lovely pup Lenny (she is a rescue) for over a year now.
I got back into rugby and it was one of the best choices I have made for myself in a very long time.
I met so many new people through rugby and have made friends for life with my teammates.
I sustained a severe concussion from rugby which set me back a few months and was a rather miserable experience.
I started reading again and have made it a hobby once more.
Blaine and I faced some unplanned and certainly difficult challenges and obstacles to overcome together.
Our family farm had another successful year.
My family and I, along with Blaine, spent a lovely weekend together in the U.S. as a mini vacation of sorts.
My mom and I went to the movies together a few times and saw some great flicks.
I got back into running.
I’ve learned some things about my own body that will help me to take better care of it and myself.
I spent plenty of time with family, loved ones, and cherished friends.
I’m sure I’m missing a few things, but hopefully this post encourages you to create one of your own.
