Do you believe in manifestation?

Perhaps it would be best to begin this post by providing you with a definition of manifestation for anyone a little unfamiliar with the term. According to thegoodtrade.com, “Manifestation is loosely defined as transforming ideas and desires into reality. Similar to the law of attraction, it stems from a belief that the universe (sometimes referred to as the Universe) creates and provides for you that which your thoughts are focused on.”

In my own words, I perceive manifestation as the notion of what you put out into the universe being what you, in turn, receive. So, as an example, say you find yourself in a financially tight situation; one might manifest some affluence via thoughts and behaviours, like visualizing a bag of money daily, in hopes that it will become a reality.

I sort of sit on the fence when it comes to manifestation as a practice. Do I believe in it to an extent? Yes, because I do think that the ways in which we conduct ourselves in life are tied to how our lives play out, if that makes sense. By that, I mean if someone dedicates their life to being a crusty, miserable asshole, they’re probably not going to have the most wonderful life. Contrastingly, if someone dedicates their life to being as positive, kind and helpful to others as possible, they would likely consider their lives to be full and happy.

I do think that manifestation can be abused and taken for granted, and I do suspect some people use it for entirely wrong reasons. Like most things in life, manifestation tends to work when it is not done for malevolent purposes and outcomes; at least, I hope.

The mind is an incredibly powerful thing, which is why I think manifestation has some power and truth to it. What’s your take?
