I rarely use Amazon on a desktop, and, if I had to guess, I would wager most folks are like me in this regard and normally use Amazon through their phone as opposed to a computer. It isn’t at all a matter of me having an issue with using the site on a computer; rather, for convenience purposes, I tend to use my phone because I’m able to access Amazon from just about anywhere, as opposed to solely within the confines of my home, on my laptop.
I actually opened Amazon on my laptop because today’s post was going to be a review of a cleaning product I recently purchased. However, upon allowing the site to load and mindlessly watching the banner ads and messages scroll across the top, one in particular caught my eye and I knew I had to explore it further.
The banner said something about having an Amazon Prime account and getting one year’s worth of free deliveries from DoorDash. I’ve never actually used DoorDash, but I have used Uber Eats, so I figured if I can comprehend how one works, I think I can figure out how to use another version of a similar service.
Sure enough, upon clicking on the banner, I read that if you have an Amazon Prime account, which I do, you’re eligible for one year’s worth of free deliveries using DoorDash. I was pleasantly surprised by this partnership, because the few times I’ve used Uber Eats, I haven’t been thrilled with the delivery charge tacked on because we live in a rural area. I proceeded and went ahead and signed up for a DoorDash account, and sure enough, every item I skimmed through had a $0 delivery fee.
I was also pumped to see that you can order a lot more than just fast food from DoorDash, for example, groceries, which may come in handy if I’m ever in a pinch.
If you have an Amazon Prime account, don’t miss out on this collaboration.
