Witty, strange and demented humour has always been a tremendous passion of mine. I get my sense of humour from my father, undoubtedly, and I am grateful to have been bestowed this blessing.
The nuttier, the better, in my opinion.
I’ve been wanting to find a new television series to watch because I’ve rewatched the entirety of Brooklyn Nine-Nine probably six times now. I had seen a few clips online of a show I knew I wanted to watch, however, I could never figure out the title of the show. After some serious investigating, however, along with the assistance of Google, I finally found the show in question, and it is called What We Do in the Shadows. You can watch a trailer for the show, from YouTube, here.
This show follows a group of vampires who have been living together in Staten Island for centuries and the ridiculous shenanigans they get up to. Check out the following blurb from Google:
“A look at the lives of four vampires who’ve lived together for hundreds of years on Staten Island. The self-appointed leader of the group is Nandor the Relentless, a warrior and conqueror from the Ottoman Empire. Then there’s the British vampire Laszlo — a bit of a rogue and a dandy and a fop, he might say. He’s a lover of mischief and a soirée, but not as much as he loves seeing Nandor fail in every attempt. And then there’s Nadja: the seductress, the temptress, the vampiric Bonnie to Laszlo’s Clyde. Also cohabiting in the vampire household is Guillermo, Nandor’s familiar; Colin Robinson, an energy vampire and day-walker of sorts — he feasts on humans, but not on their blood.”
I was positively hooked from the first episode, and I am genuinely looking forward to watching all six seasons of this masterpiece.
