Looking for a reading light? Look no further

Now that I am, thankfully, fully back into the swing of reading on a daily basis, I’ve come to realize the struggle of trying to read, using minimal light, in an attempt to refrain from waking my husband up as he sleeps beside me. The man can sleep through just about anything, to be fair, but I still feel bad since he is up and about earlier than I am in the mornings.

I told him I was going to try and see if I could find a reading light online that wouldn’t take up too much space on my night table. It’s rather crowded as it is, and throwing a lamp into the mix arguably would not work out well. I was hoping to find some sort of clip-on, or attachable light I could connect directly to the book I’m reading, but I managed to find something slightly better.

I ordered the iZELL Desk Lamp from Amazon, and while lamps are not necessarily something to get excited about, this one is rather neat. They’re available in a 40 and 70-inch cable length, and I opted for the longer one to be safe. The light is attached to a bendable cord that holds whatever shape you put it in, and on the other end is a clamp that I managed to hook right onto our bed headboard. It comes with a clicker built into the cord that can brighten or dim the light, and the light itself can be changed to three different variations and tones of brightness.

It was about $25, and for how bright it is, I think it’s more than reasonable. It provides ample light for me to read without issue, all without disturbing Blaine as he slumbers beside me. It comes in black, white and pink, and I’m sure it could be used for a hell of a lot more than reading.
