Are Eufy robot vacuums worth the money?

My husband and I have had a variety of robotic vacuums since moving into our home three years ago. Initially, we had a Roomba, and it worked fine. At least, it did prior to attempting to suck up a solid heap of dog shit, and while my husband dutifully tried to clean every last morsel of shit out of it, it didn’t last too much longer after this ordeal, and the motor quit.

After the Roomba, we ended up getting another Roomba, but this one was both a vacuum and a mop. Again, it worked well, but at this point, my husband and I were entirely ignorant of the fact that our water softener shit the bed, so our very hard water cooked it from the inside out.

Next, we tried a Bissell vacuum mop. It worked fairly well, but the Roomba worked better; this one survived all of one month before it, too, met its demise, thanks to the water.

Despite the picture I am painting for you, I swear we are not going out of our way to ruin any robotic vacuum device that enters our home.

Considering the ludicrous amount of money we have invested in these stupid machines, my mom was kind enough to inform me that there was an Eufy robotic vacuum mop she didn’t mind using her Airmiles points for. So, I willingly took her up on her offer to use her points to get us yet another cleaning device, and without jinxing anything, the Eufy is holding up.

Eufy devices are crazy expensive, and to be entirely honest, I think they could do far better considering what they cost. They don’t pick up what I expected them to, and they also don’t go right up to edges of walls like the Bissel and Roomba devices did.

I don’t think Eufy’s are worth their price.
