While I don’t want to wrongly assume, I think that hair flyaways are an issue that is more relevant to women than they are to men. That is not to say that men can’t get frustrated with flyaway hairs surrounding their face, because I’m sure it’s happened to some poor bloke out there; generally speaking, however, hair flyaways tend to irritate women more than they do men.
If you have fine hair, you’re even more susceptible to hair flyaways, and most of us can attest to how bloody annoying they are. You try your utmost to smooth them down, using a variety of products, but they’re stubborn bastards that choose to stand tall despite your valiant efforts to control them.
I’ve tried a few different flyaway smoothing hair products before, and while some of them were better than others, I find they never really hold up to their promise of keeping flyaways down. Sure, they hold them in place for an hour, but the minute you step outside into some wind, they’re back with a vengeance.
I came across a flyaway product in a Buzzfeed article and decided to give it a try. I ordered the Hair Cactus Fruit 3-in-1 Hair Styling Cream & Flyaway Taming Wand from Amazon a few weeks ago, and now that I’ve used it a handful of times, I can tell you with utmost sincerity that it is probably the best flyaway product I have ever used.
It isn’t expensive, and it is stickier than hell, hence why it holds flyaways down. But, despite its adhesion, it does not leave a gross or greasy film in your hair when you use it, and the wand applicator it comes with allows for precision and getting those damn hairs down exactly where you want them.
I absolutely recommend this product for anyone dealing with flyaways.
