My dad has worn sunglasses for as long as I can remember. I should stipulate, however, that I am not referring to your typical, general sunglasses style. Rather, being a farmer, he has always worn sunglasses that double as safety glasses, hence why they’re always on his head.
Always.
A few years ago now, my dad had melanoma cancer in his eye. It was caught during a routine eye exam, and the doctor explained to him that it could have spread to his brain and killed him. He had no symptoms whatsoever, which makes the situation that much scarier.
He has been in remission, thank God, for a while now, but he has the odd issue with the eye that had the cancer within it. I came across an advertisement via social media for brightening sunglasses, and because I had never heard of these before, I decided to order some to give him to try.
This was years ago, and ever since, he has almost always worn yellow lens sunglasses.
We recently celebrated my dad’s birthday, and he mentioned he couldn’t find his favourite pair of yellow sunglasses. I got him a new pair for his birthday, and because he loved the style, I wanted to share them with all of you.
The ZENOTTIC glasses I ordered for him are actually advertised as Night Vision glasses, arguably because the yellow lens is so brightening. These are definitely more visually aesthetic than the safety glasses style, and my dad positively loves them. He noticed a difference in the brightness of what he was looking at as soon as he put them on, and while he likes using them for driving at night, I imagine someone could find all sorts of uses for these bad boys.
They’re less than $50, and they would make a great Christmas gift if you’re trying to come up with an idea for someone.
