I’ve never really been someone who deals with drastically dry skin, thankfully, on any part of my body. Sure, my lips get chapped when it’s extremely cold outside, and sometimes my hands start to resemble a reptile, but for the most part, I’m relatively well moisturized without having to use moisturizer itself.
My cuticles, on the other hand? No bueno, and definitely no bonita.
My cuticles are almost always cracked and dry, and I believe it stems from the work I do in our chicken barn and the materials I work with. They’re not the most appealing to look upon, and because I’m a serial picker, the drier they are, the more I pick. I’ve used a plethora of hand creams, lotions and cuticle oils over the years, but I recently purchased a hand cream that is tremendously aiding the state of my cuticles, and it is the Cake Beauty Repairing Heavy Cream.
Check out the following description of this cream, pulled from amazon.ca:
“Blended with a decadent buttercream frosting in mind, this balm perfectly coats your hands with nourishment, sinking in quickly for noticeably softer, smoother hands, without the harsh chemicals. Topped off with the beloved scent of our warm French vanilla blend, this balm is the ultimate in ultra-ultra indulgence.”
True to its description, this stuff is hydrating as heck. It is quite thick, so a little goes a long way, and if you’re not a fan of any sort of residue left on your hands after applying lotion, this one likely isn’t for you. But, if that doesn’t bother you and your hands are in dire need of rejuvenation, I do believe the residue helps to continually moisturize the skin, long after applying. It is very affordable, Canadian-made, and it smells positively divine. I’m not sure what your hand cream criteria consist of, but for me, this one checks off all of the boxes.
