Movies are kind of a hit-or-miss concept for me.
Unless a film hooks me right from the get-go, I have a really hard time getting all the way through to the ending. I’m aware this isn’t necessarily fair to the movie itself, because a lot of the times movies don’t really get exciting until at least a third of the way through. But, I am picky when it comes to cinematic productions, and I have pretty high expectations.
My favourite movie overall, I would have to conclude, is Django Unchained. My God that movie is damn good. The visuals, the acting, the actors, the plot, even the music… it’s all phenomenal. I have zero complaints about Django Unchained, which is probably why it is the best movie I have seen. Now that I am consciously thinking about it, I have never seen a Quentin Tarantino film that I didn’t enjoy. If you like Westerns, check out his latest film, The Hateful Eight. It’s a signature Tarantino movies, and if you have seen any of his films, you will understand what I mean by that.
My boyfriend, Blaine, forced me to watch one of the Resident Evil films a while ago. I was pretty hesitant at first, and though I am still reluctant to admit it, I watched all of the films with him and I liked every single one. Surprising, I know. The films cover a plot that depicts an area called Raccoon City and its overwhelming population of zombies (who were once healthy civilians). It sounds odd, but trust me, the entire series is good.
A few other films that have really impressed me over the years are Unbroken, The Revenant, Dazed and Confused, Caddy Shack and all of the Harry Potter films excluding The Half Blood Prince. That one just didn’t do it for me. Maybe it’s because Dumbledore dies. I really liked that guy.
