I tend to be pretty picky when it comes to television series. The only series I have ever consistently watched, meaning every episode of every season, is Sons of Anarchy. That show is on a whole other level.
Anyways, yeah, I am picky in terms of TV. I have been wanting to find a new series to watch for quite some time now, but anything I checked out or was recommended just wan’t grabbing my attention.
Until I checked out Orange is the New Black.
I’ve heard a lot of great things about this series, and I have always had a little voice in the back of my mind telling me to check it out. I put it off for quite a while, but finally the other evening I caved, and decided to start watching the first season.
I have to say, I am quite satisfied with my decision to give it a chance. Right from the first episode, you are launched in Piper Chapman’s story (who is the main character) and are informed of how she managed to end up in prison for 14 months. The show is pretty bold, and does not leave much to the imagination in terms of sex scenes and raunchy humour, but if you’re like me and don’t really have a filter, meaning nothing really offends you, this show is for you.
I am only four episodes into the first season, and I can tell already that I am going to like this series. As I mentioned, it’s hard for me to find a television show that I am committed to, and make an effort to view every single episode. But
I am pretty certain this show will keep my riveted. Hopefully throughout all of the seasons.
Have you viewed the series? If so, let me know in the comments, and thank you for reading!
