As I’m sure you are well informed by now, I have several food intolerances, one being dairy. The title of this post may therefore confuse you, but the ‘ice cream’ product I am reviewing is actually dairy-free.
Weird, I know. How is it possible for an ice cream to be composed without dairy ingredients?
This particular brand of ice cream, made by a company titled Coconut Bliss, uses coconut-based ingredients to create a mimic of dairy-based ice cream. Considering I am not a huge fan of coconut, I was hesitant to try this product, but I am actually unable to detect any coconut taste in their products whatsoever. I have tried their chocolate ice cream, which is fantastic, though I recently sampled their cashew vanilla ice cream, and it is excellent.
The following quote comes their website, coconutbliss.com: “When people ask us how we came up with Luna & Larry’s Coconut Bliss we’d like to say that we are entrepreneurial geniuses, but the truth is much humbler. We just wanted a dairy-free ice cream that tasted as good as it made us feel.”

To create their ice cream, they combine a coconut milk base sweetened with agave nectar with various different ingredients to create incredible flavours. Some of their flavours include chocolate chip cookie, cinnamon chocolate, cappuccino, chocolate peanut butter and mint.
The brand is certified organic, gluten-free, soy-free and dairy-free. It is pretty expensive considering the size of the tub of ice cream, but considering there fails to be a lot of variety in regards to dairy-free ice cream products, I personally am willing to pay. The brand also makes dessert bars in various flavours.
