Last week I ventured into Sephora to pick up some products I was in need of replenishing. If you are of VIB or VIB Rouge status at Sephora (it’s Sephora’s own points system), you are eligible to receive free samples of specific products once you cash out based on how many points you have accumulated through past purchases. One of the samples the store was offering was the Diorshow Maximizer 3D Triple Volume Plumping Lash Primer, in a miniature size, obviously, so I decided to redeem some of my collected points in order to experiment with this product.
Dior is highly recognized for their makeup products. Their Airflash foundation and Diorshow mascara are arguably two of their most popular products, and because their mascara has received such great reviews I was curious to try out their eyelash primer.
An eyelash primer is intended to be applied prior to traditional mascara, and it is supposed to lengthen and volumize eyelashes to a greater degree than simply mascara alone. I wouldn’t say I have short eyelashes, however I am always trying to discover lengthening and thickening mascara so I figured giving an eyelash primer a try wouldn’t hurt.
I can honestly say that the Dior eyelash primer is the best eyelash primer I have ever used. The applicator for the product is a thick, dense brush, and I find that it coats each and every one of my lashes evenly. It applies white, however when mascara is applied overtop the white colour disappears, and I have been using it with my basic Covergirl mascara and the results are undeniable. My mom even asked me what I have been using, and once I told her about the primer she asked me to pick her up one for her to experiment with.
As much as I enjoy this primer, I am unsure if I would ever purchase a full-size product for myself considering it retails for almost $40.00. I do not feel as though it is worth that much money, but if you are on the hunt for a great primer, I suggest heading to Sephora now to grab one of their mini-size samples of this product.
