Product Review: The Body Shop’s Grapeseed Glossing Serum

I composed a post a while ago addressing PYT hot hair tools in addition to their Argan oil hair serum. I have yet to discover a hair product that is as beneficial for my hair as the PYT serum, however after experimenting with the Body Shop’s Grape Seed Glossing Serum I can say with confidence that this product is excellent in terms of performance, and the cost is considerably less than that of the PYT Serum.

The PYT Argan Oil hair serum retails for approximately one hundred dollars which is an astronomical amount of money for such a small amount of product. The Body Shop’s grape seed serum retails for twelve dollars and contains roughly the same amount of product as the PYT serum, which is a definite reason to consider trying it out.

According to The Body Shop’s website the grape seed serum “… adds great gloss and shine to the hair. It also helps to moisturize the hair and is easily washed out. Suitable for dull/frizzy hair.” I have used this product half a dozen times or so, and I can personally attest to the accuracy of the product description on the website. This product is lightweight and does not weight my hair down, has a lovely fragrance, and undoubtedly adds shine to my hair whilst keeping it smooth and sleek.

The serum contains grape seed oil in addition to jojoba oil, two ingredients that are incredibly moisturizing and aid in restoring dry, split ends of hair. The only downfall of the oils contained in the serum is that they have the potential to clog pores regarding facial skin, so if you use this product in your hair be sure to tie it away from your face until it dries.

Overall I would definitely recommend this product and I would re-purchase it.
