Product Review: Herbal Essences Naked Dry Shampoo

As of late, I have been trying to get into the habit of not washing my hair as frequently as I have in the past. I used to wash my hair daily, however, this is not an ideal practice when considering how it impacts the overall health and quality of your hair.

So, I decided I would cut back and experiment with dry shampoo. I had never made use of dry shampoo, therefore I was slightly unsure of which brand to use. I came across the Herbal Essences Naked Dry Shampoo at Shopper’s Drugmart whilst shopping one day, and for a $6.00 price tag, I figured it would be worth a shot.

The product is free of parabens and colorant, which are definitely good things to look for when purchasing any¬†hair products, but I found that this product did virtually nothing for my hair. It has a nice scent which freshened up my locks, but in terms of altering the appearance of my hair or causing it to seem shinier, I noticed no change. I figured it was just me due to my inexperience with dry shampoo, but I am roughly halfway through the bottle, and it has yet to impress me. The price is right, but you’re better off spending a little more to ensure the product you’re purchasing performs well and ensures quality.

Fun fact: While doing some research about this product, I discovered that it was listed on as one of the worst dry shampoos to use. I guess my disappointment with the product was not personal, and after reading some reviews, it became apparent that many individuals had issues with the bottle itself. Apparently, the spray nozzle becomes clogged easily and the product is unable to pass through and disperse throughout hair.

Overall, I would not recommend this product. If you have a favorite dry shampoo, help a sister out and please let me know!
