Roughly eleven years ago, I went to a hair salon to have my hair trimmed and was left with nothing but regret and anger after the experience.
I went to a high-end hair salon, asked for a trim, and left with my hair above my shoulders (my hair was halfway down my back before the massacre took place).
Needless to say, the experience botched my trust in hairdressers, hence why I haven’t returned in eleven years.
Until recently, anyway. My mom has been going to KML Studio Family Hair Care, and after purchasing a gift card for me for Christmas to have a cut and style done, I figured it was time to test my trust again and leave the fate of my hair in that of a hairdresser.
I visited KML to have a trim, and that’s exactly what I got – a trim, along with wonderful customer service, reassurance from Marilyn, one of the owners and a stylist in the salon, and further a revamping of my perception of hair salons. I had an absolutely wonderful experience at KML, and I would 100 per cent go back for another trim down the road.
Marilyn took the time to learn what I wanted to be done with my hair, and did just that. She didn’t take off more than I asked, she listened to my concerns and ensured they wouldn’t be repeated (because of a crappy experience I had in the past), and made me feel important because of her professionalism.
The studio itself is very cozy, quaint, and warm, and the moment I walked in I knew I was in good hands. Aside from hair services, the salon offers manicures and pedicures, waxing, and more.
