As I mentioned the other day, I recently watched the first season of Netflix’s The Witcher. As a result of my significant appreciation for this series, and furthermore for the main character, Geralt of Rivia, I thought I would write a post about Henry Cavill, the man to thank for bringing Geralt to life on the big screen.
At a ripe 36 years of age, Cavill is an English actor. He is the fourth out of five boys and was born on Jersey in the Channel Islands, according to his Wikipedia page.
Some of Cavill’s early works include The Count of Monte Cristo and I Capture the Castle, though he is best known for some of his more recent roles, for example playing Superman in Man of Steel as well as his performances in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, Justice League and Mission Impossible – Fallout.
Cavill is also highly recognized for his impeccably good looks. In 2013 he earned the title of “World’s Sexiest Man” by British Glamour magazine, and in the same tear, he claimed the third spot on their list of the “100 Sexiest Movie Stars 2013”.
And, aside from being ridiculously attractive, he’s a also a bit of a humanitarian. Cavill “is a spokesman for the Durrell Wildlife Conservation Trust,[50] and an ambassador for The Royal Marines Charity. He launched the running phase of the Royal Marines 1664 Challenge and took part in The Gibraltar Rock Run 2014,” his Wikipedia page explains.
Formerly engaged to Ellen Whitaker in 2012, Cavill is single to my best knowledge. He lives in South Kensington, London, and in his spare time he practices Brazillian jiu-jitsu, which is likely a contributor
This lad seems like a down-to-earth, all-around friendly gentleman, and I’ve been a fan of his for a while. If you’re not familiar with him, check him out. I doubt you’ll be disappointed.
