Scary movies, as I’ve mentioned before, are my favourite genre of film to watch. I’m not exactly sure why, but I thoroughly enjoy a horror movie that leaves me in a seriously scared state.
I enjoy watching scary films year-round, but a lot of people typically don’t watch them unless it is an appropriate time of year, for example, around the time of Halloween. I’ve seen a few different threads containing horror movie suggestions to partake in a scary movie marathon as a means to celebrate the spooky season, and I thought I would share one with all of you horror fanatics out there. I chose this particular list because it features some more recent flicks (some of which I haven’t even heard of), but that isn’t to say that some older or more dated scary movies aren’t worth re-watching. Some of my own personal suggestions include:

- ‘The Conjuring’ (2013)
- ‘Hereditary’ (2018)
- ‘The Babadook’ (2014)
- ‘A Quiet Place’ (2018)

- ‘The Silence of the Lambs’ (1991)
- ‘Drag me to Hell’ (2009)
These are but a few of some of my favourite films to put on when I feel like having the living hell scared out of me, and some are more intense than others. There are undoubtedly some I forgot to mention, but I think my own list is a good start for anyone hoping to truly get into the Halloween spirit this year.

I read the imdb entries on two of em and I think it’s official: I’m a romcom girly pussy. Even just reading the synopsis gets me scared 🤪😆
