I am a perfume junkie. I always have been and likely always will be, and I really have no issue with hoarding samples and bottles until my room smells like a heavenly, rather over-powering oasis, much to my family’s delight.
I have my favourites that I have collected over the years, and after looking through my collection not too long ago, I thought I would offer my review on one in particular that, in my opinion, serves as the perfect perfume for summer.
It isn’t ideal that the designer who makes this certain perfume is Versace meaning it isn’t the most affordable, but it’s worth it.
Versace’s Bright Crystal falls into the floral family, and is categorized as a classic floral scent type. Its main notes include Yuzu lemon, peony and musk, and the following fragrance description comes from Sephora’s website.
“Inspired by a mixture of Donatella Versace’s favorite floral fragrances, Bright Crystal is a fresh, sensual blend of refreshing chilled yuzu and pomegranate mingled with soothing blossoms of peony, magnolia, and lotus flower, warmed with notes of musk and amber.”
I’m not sure what it is about the combination of the scents and notes contained in this bottle, but without exaggeration it is one of the best smells my nose has ever encountered. It’s light, feminine, crisp and lasts quite a while on the skin, and there are a variety of sizes available to order from Sephora’s website, including roller balls, if you’re intrigued but don’t want to spend a lot on a larger bottle.
I wear this stuff year-round, but it really does encapsulate everything about summer, and it would be a perfect option for anyone looking for a new scent to sport during the warmer months. It isn’t cheap, and I wouldn’t say this if I didn’t believe it, but this stuff is worth every penny.
I may need to try this. I love the floral scents.
