Need some new kicks? Read this

I’ve been sporting a pair of Vessi running shoes for a few years now, and I’ve enjoyed my time with them. I imagine they would still be going strong if our dog, Lenny, hadn’t selected them as her newest target in the chewing game, but alas, she did, and I found myself desperately needing some new kicks.

I needed some new runners, and quickly, seeing as these are what I usually wear when I’m working on the farm, so long as I’m not working with anything heavy or equipment – then it’s work boots. I figured I would check and see what Amazon had, and I am happy to report I was not disappointed.

I ordered a pair of the ALEADER Women’s Energycloud Lightweight Slip On Walking Running Shoes. They retail for $80, and I actually managed to get them with terrific savings – they’re currently 40 per cent off.

In terms of convenience, I love me a shoe I can easily slip in and out of. These runners do come with laces, however, they’re designed in such a way that you tie the laces once, essentially, and then slip them on and off without untying them afterwards. The sole has tremendous traction, and the knit the shoe is composed of is breathable and lightweight material. I wore them for several hours while working outside and was shocked to see dry socks when I removed them at the end of the day.

I wore these while pruning flowerbeds, meaning I was all over uneven ground and in mulch, and my feet felt just dandy. No discomfort or irritation, and no having to ‘break them in’ and all that jazz.

If you’re in need of some new runners, consider these shoes. They’re affordable (check if they’re still on sale), comfortable, versatile, breathable and semi-fashionable, and I’m rather content so far with my purchase.
