Sometimes, late at night, if I can’t sleep, I’ll hit up Pinterest for some new and enticing recipes.
If one is having difficulty falling asleep, is using a smartphone the best idea? Absolutely not, and I am aware of that, but thank you in advance, Becky.
Moving on.
For whatever bizarre reason, scrolling through Pinterest recipes usually helps me drift off. I was checking some out the other evening, and while I didn’t actually save the recipe, I did view one pertaining to how to go about making garlic butter noodles.
The following day, when I was trying to figure out what the fuck to cook for dinner, I all of a sudden remembered these noodles and decided to give the dish a try using my own recipe. It turned out delicious, so I thought I would share my recipe with all of you.
Lauren’s garlic butter noodles
You will need (to serve two people)
- One tbsp of salt plus some for seasoning
- Bowtie pasta, or whatever noodle floats your boat
- Three tbsp of butter or margarine, depending on your preference
- Two tbsp of minced garlic
- One tbsp of hot pepper oil
- Salt and pepper
- 1/4 cup of grated parmesan cheese
Directions
- Start by bringing a pot of salted water to a boil on your stovetop.
- Once the water has reached a rolling boil, add in your noodles and turn the heat down to medium
- Allow the noodles to cook for just shy of 10 minutes, or until they’re al dente
- Once your noodles are cooked, strain them and whip ’em back into the pot
- Mix in your butter or margarine, your garlic, your oil and your salt and pepper. Allow to cook on low for about five minutes.
- Sprinkle your parmesan over the top, and voila! You’ve made yourself some delightful garlic butter noodles.
