Blaine and I are both rather ill currently with this awful bug that seems to be taking out entire households in a single sweep. Blaine started feeling rough on Christmas Day, and myself a few days after him; we are both ridden with the plague, and it hasn’t exactly been pleasant, to say the least.
When it rains, it pours, apparently; despite trying to take it easy and beat this bug as quickly as possible, our dog, Lenny, decided that our sickness would serve as ample opportunity to get sprayed by a skunk directly in her face. Lenny is okay – she was foaming at the mouth pretty badly after she was sprayed, but once we got her to calm down a little bit, we got her in the house and into the tub shortly after.
I hit up Google for some help as to how to go about concocting a solution to rid your dog of skunk spray, and because we didn’t have any hydrogen peroxide on hand, I asked my parents if they did since they aren’t far away. By the goodness of God, my sister handed me a bottle of Soos Pets Skunk Odor Eliminator, which she told me she bought a few months back just in case, and I could have kissed her right then and there.
The Soos Pets Skunk Odor Eliminator definitely works to remove the skunk spray scent off of a dog’s coat. I washed Lenny’s entire body but tried to focus on her face as best I could. I figured out she got hit either in her ear or just below it, and while there is still a bit of the smell on her in this region, I really can’t complain considering how absolutely potent she was initially after the incident.
Do yourself a favour and buy some Soos Pets Skunk Odor Eliminator if you own a pup. Chances are you’ll thank yourself later.
