When it comes to chocolate bars, I certainly have my favourites. Reese’s peanut butter cups are probably my number one choice, but, more specifically, the mega cups with actual Reese’s Pieces on top; I’m also a tremendous fan of Hershey’s Cookies and Cream bars, and Kinder Bueno’s.
Despite having my go-to’s, in the instance I spot a new or rare flavour of a chocolate bar I haven’t yet tried, you can absolutely bet I’m picking it up to sample it.
When my family and I visited Buffalo a few weekends back, I picked up a few items I hadn’t seen before. One item I would not purchase again is Lindt Birthday Cake flavour truffles. I love birthday cake flavour, but these missed the mark rather dramatically; they’re far too sweet, to the point I don’t think I could eat more than one.
One item I would absolutely purchase again is M&M’s Crunchy Cookie Chocolate Candy – these guys are exactly as described in the sense they’re typical M&M’s, but instead of the traditional chocolate filling, their contents are chocolate chip cookies. These are delicious and worth buying.
I found a Churro-flavoured KitKat bar here in Ontario, Canada, and I wouldn’t get it again. It doesn’t really taste like a Churro, but rather more like milk chocolate with cinnamon, if that makes any sense. I also grabbed a birthday cake KitKat bar, and this one was fantastic. It was how birthday cake flavour should taste, unlike the sickly sweet Lindt truffle.
The last item I grabbed was for Blaine, and they were peanut butter chocolate Oreo cakes. Not actual Oreo cookies, but sort of like miniature cupcakes. Blaine said they were rather disgusting, and I’ll take his word on the matter.
Have you found a stellar rare chocolate bar flavour that left you gobsmacked? Let me know in the comments.
