In my post a few days back discussing the growth of mould in water bottles and how to go about avoiding this happening, I mentioned how steel water bottles are arguably best in terms of mould prevention. Stainless steel, specifically, is non-porous, meaning it is the best material a water bottle can be composed of to avoid the development of mould.
That is not to say that if you use a stainless steel water bottle you don’t need to concern yourself with cleaning it – mould can still find its way into the bottle, and cleaning it regularly is a good idea.
After I realized my plastic bottle had mould spored embedded in it, I needed to get myself a new one, and I decided that this time I was going to spend a bit more and invest in a stainless steel one. I checked out Amazon to see what was available and ended up purchasing the, wait for it, RAYMYLO One Gallon Water Bottle Insulated, Triple Walled Vacuum Stainless Steel (Cold for 48 Hrs), Leak Proof & BPA-Free, Large Water Flask Jug with Paracord Handle & Straw Spout Lids. I’ve been using it for a few weeks now, and so far, I absolutely love it. It keeps water cold for what seems like forever, and the accessories it comes with are pretty convenient; it comes with a sleek, cushioned carrying pouch; a straw lid along with two straws and two brushes to clean them; a spout lid; a brush to clean the bottle; and a paracord handle. You can literally wear this thing like a satchel, and there is a literal compass attached to the handle, prompting me to consider how savvy this thing would be for campers and hikers.
If you’re searching for a steel water bottle, consider this your sign to invest in the RAYMYLO. It’s absolutely worth it.
