You need to visit Lily’s Tacos in Simcoe

For Father’s Day this past Sunday, my dad made one small request to our family to celebrate – to go out for dinner, together, and to enjoy some Mexican food.

My Dad had a specific spot in mind, and while he had tried their takeout once prior, none of us had yet had the pleasure of visiting the actual location to dine. Located at 29 Robinson Street in Simcoe, Ontario, Lily’s Tacos is serving up truly authentic and phenomenal Mexican cuisine, and it is a must-visit for anyone who enjoys Mexican dishes.

My husband had a beef burrito; my sister and mom had chicken burritos; my dad had spicy shrimp; and I had Quesabirrias which were quite honestly some of the tastiest things I’ve ever had in my life. The Quesabirrias were filled with shredded birria, cheese and herbs and served alongside birria broth which I easily could have drank.

We also ordered some Mexican nachos which were absolutely insane in terms of flavour. I’ve never had nachos anything like how these were prepared, and they blew my mind.

Lily’s also has a wonderful patio that you’re welcome to dine on, and the inside portion of the restaurant has a small selection of Mexican grocery items and a few other supplies to pick from. It is a unique and welcoming space, and my family and I all agreed we would be back soon, and furthermore, that all of our food was excellent.

Adorably, one of the waitresses came over to our table at the end of our dinner with Mexican desserts for my dad for Father’s Day, and we chatted with her for a few minutes about how fantastic our food was. All of the staff were kind and accommodating, and I look forward to visiting again to enjoy some absolutely wicked food.

Lily’s is a must-visit in Norfolk.
