Goldfish crackers were a tremendous component of my childhood, and I would wager that a lot of people can relate to this. Goldfish crackers seem to be a major hit amongst children and adults for that matter – I still enjoy them today, although perhaps not as often as I did when I was a kid. My mom used to pack them in both my and my sister’s lunches, and both my sister and I are in firm agreement that the giant version of Goldfish crackers somehow tastes better than the original, smaller ones.
I realize they’re composed of the same ingredients, but the big bitches really do taste better.
If you’re a fan of Goldfish, you’re arguably aware of the many different flavours that have come after the original cheddar. Whether it be the Flavour Blasted version, the ones made with whole grains, or, the newest member of the Goldfish clan, the Crisps, there really is a flavour for everyone. Don’t judge me, but I’ve always enjoyed the pizza flavour of the Flavour Blasted line.
A little while ago, while perusing some snacks via Amazon, I came across Vanilla Cupcake flavoured Goldfish. I am a huge fan of birthday cake flavour, so I figured I may as well try a vanilla cupcake take on a cracker – what did I have to lose, really?
I am ecstatic that I did decide to try them, because they’re fucking delicious.
They’re graham cracker-based, and while I wouldn’t really say they taste like a vanilla cupcake, they sure as hell taste good. They’re sweet, but not overly so, and they don’t taste artificial or anything of the sort. They’re a great choice for a sweet snack, and they’re quite affordable, too; they’re less than five bucks for a bag via Amazon, and if you enjoy sweets to any extent, I absolutely recommend trying them.
