‘Aaron Rodgers: Enigma:’ view or vanquish?

My husband and I thoroughly enjoy watching documentaries of just about any genre, but our favourites are arguably true crime and sports documentaries. We watched a solid handful of both types via Netflix, and a couple of days ago, I notified Blaine that a new sports documentary titled Aaron RodgersEnigma had been added.

I wouldn’t say either one of us are avid football fans, but we both like the sport, and my dad played varsity-level football for Guelph University back in the day, so it’s been a relatively constant component in my life. I’ve always found Aaron Rodgers to be an interesting man, to say the least, so we agreed we would watch it.

So far, we are one episode in, and there are three total. It isn’t a lengthy documentary to say the least, but each episode is over an hour, so there is a decent amount of content to get through.

The first episode focuses mainly on Rodgers’ Achilles injury and the unbelievable recovery approach he took to ensure he was back playing football again in a matter of months. But, the first episode also emphasizes Aaron’s childhood and how he came to be involved with the sport, in addition to stressing how truly brilliant the guy is in the context of football. He’s a bit of a math genius and views football with a mathematical perspective, arguably making him one of the most knowledgeable players in the game.

Blaine and I are both immensely enjoying this documentary so far, but I’m a little surprised by the amount of negative feedback it has been receiving online. This documentary is made by the same crew that produced the Simone Biles documentary, so if you saw that, you know the Aaron Rodgers one measures up in terms of overall effect.

I say this one is a view.
