Having Lyme disease, I have to be careful when it comes to cleaning products. I have a bit of a heightened sensitivity to certain ingredients in common cleaners that has developed after being diagnosed with Lyme; I never used to have any sort of issue with any product in the past.
As annoying as it can be, I almost consider my new sensitivity as a sort of blessing. I’m forced to purchase cleaning products now that do not contain a plethora of harsh chemicals and additives, and this really isn’t such a bad thing in terms of health in the long run. One downside is that cleaners with better ingredients tend to be a little more expensive, but it’s a burden I am willing to bear with my own health issues.
A few months ago I purchased the Method All-Purpose Cleaner Spray, Plant-Based and Biodegradable Formula via Amazon. My mom uses some products from Method, as does my sister; I figure if my mom and sister deem these products worth using, they’re a safe bet.
Here is a description of the product from amazon.ca:
“Contains (4) 828 mL spray bottles of all purpose surface cleaner.
“This all-purpose surface cleaner spray puts the hurt on dirt.
“Plant-based cleaning power cuts through grease + grime.
“Cleans sealed non-porous surfaces including counters, tile, granite wood and glass.
“Cruelty free. Tested by people, not on animals,” the web page explains.
I ordered a four-pack for a very reasonable price, in my opinion, in the French Lavender scent. The smell is positively lovely, and for my husband to even note how nice it smells, that’s saying something. I find it does a great job as an all-purpose cleaner, and I use it to wipe down most surfaces in our kitchen and living room.
If you’re looking for an all-purpose cleaner without harsh additives, consider this one.
