Looking for some sports gear? Look no further than Iroqit

I haven’t exactly kept my return to rugby after a ten-year hiatus a secret here on my blog, but allow me to remind you in the unlikely event you have forgotten. I played for roughly six years, starting in high school and playing for a couple of years after that, stopped for about ten years, and returned to the game just last year. I joined the Norfolk Harvestors Rugby Football Club and haven’t looked back since.

I learned roughly halfway through the season last year that the talented individual responsible for creating our kits (also referred to as jerseys) is the mother of my coach/captain and, furthermore, the owner of Iroqit, an Indigenous-woman-owned local business. Iroqit creates custom and affordable rugby, hockey and baseball kits, and then some; I’ve ordered a handful of pieces from Iroqit at this point, and as often as I wear the materials playing rugby, they also double as fantastic and comfortable everyday and lounge wear.

So far, I am a proud owner of the Iroqit Pro compression shorts, an Iroquois Roots Rugby hoodie, the Iroqit Women’s 1/4 crew training socks, and the Iroqit women’s floral mesh training shorts. Please do not ask me to name a favourite, because I don’t think the task is possible; the compression shorts are excellent for wearing underneath athletic shorts for some extra security; the hoodie is wonderfully cozy and soft; the socks are ridiculously comfortable and stylish; and the floral training shorts are quite literally the prettiest rugby shorts my eyes have ever seen. Iroqit recently released their turquoise floral print shorts, which are also exceptionally appealing to the eye, and I have no doubt the next release will be equally beautiful.

If you’re looking for any sort of rugby, hockey or baseball kits, consider supporting Iroqit. I highly doubt that you will regret doing so.
