In our home, we have a sort of parallel between our two cats. Lionel is a tuxedo cat, and this year he will turn 12, which is hard to believe; our other cat, Timmy, is orange through and through, and he is two. As much as Timmy enjoys Lionel’s company, I don’t believe Lionel feels the same way, therefore we try to keep the two of them separate to the best of our ability.
Timmy loves to play, and as much as I would love to spend my days with him and keep him entertained, that simply is not a feasible option in my life. I’ve gotten him a few different toys to keep him busy, but I think the one I purchased most recently is his favourite.
Mr. Timmy is an avid fan of the Interactive Cat Ball Toy for Indoor Cats from amazon.com, and he hasn’t really left it alone since giving it to him. It’s very affordable, retailing for about $12, and so far, it has been a very well -spent $12, going by Timmy’s obsession with the thing. It’s a small rubber ball of sorts, and to give you an idea of its size, I’d say it’s not too much bigger than a golf ball. It’s rechargeable and comes with a USB cord, and the battery is decent, seeing as I’ve only had to charge it once in the week since introducing it to Timmy. There is an ‘on’ button, and you know it’s on when the thing lights up, and it’s essentially a self-propelled ball with a string on the end of it that randomly throws itself around on the ground. It moves at random, meaning it will keep your cat occupied for a long while, and it turns off automatically after about 20 minutes or so.
If you have a busy cat you’re trying to keep occupied, consider getting them this toy.
