Unless you’re exceptionally lucky or have managed to unlock the ultimate human body cheat code, deodorant is arguably a product most of us rely upon to control body odour emitted from our armpits. Some of us have more of an issue with body odour than others, and that’s absolutely ok; what isn’t necessarily okay, however, is when our deodorant fails us, and we are subjecting anyone in our close proximity to a nose assault.
As common and natural as body odour is, it can be rather embarrassing, so finding a deodorant that actually does the job is a rather helpful first step in the battle of tackling smelly armpits.
I happen to have pretty strong body odour at times, especially after I’ve been sweating intensely. It tends to make an appearance when I’m playing rugby, so last season I decided to give NATIVE deodorant a try because my husband and I already use and quite like their body wash.
I use the coconut and vanilla version, and the brand does boast relatively clean ingredients. Check out this excerpt, pulled from nativecos.com:
“Pamper your pits, smell amazing. Our award-winning aluminum-free formula just got an upgrade! Now fighting odor in FIVE ways, it really is 72-hour odor protection you can trust.
“Cruelty free and vegan. Never tested on animals and no animal-derived ingredients.
“Tough on odor. Clinically proven odor protection for up to 72 hours.
“No unwanted ingredients. Free of aluminum, parabens, phthalates, ozokerite, and baking soda.
“Kind to skin. Thoughtfully formulated with clean ingredients.
“Smooth application. Comfortable, easy glide. Just swipe on, sniff, and go,” the web page states.
I rather enjoy the scent of this deodorant, and it isn’t crazy heavy or anything of the sort. It holds up while I’m sweating like an absolute animal, and I would recommend it if you, too, struggle with controlling body odour.
