Costco product review: Nutrius Brazilian Body Wash

I don’t venture out to my local Costco as often as I might like, but because of this, I tend to make the most of my visits whenever they do happen. I normally give Blaine a heads up when I am headed there so he doesn’t check our bank account and faint; so far, my tactics have been successful, because I don’t think he’s blacked out yet.

I haven’t been for a little while now, but the last time I went, I picked up a two-pack of Nutrius Brazilian Body Wash – one scent is Coco Bliss, and the other is Berry Bliss.

According to costco.ca, these guys are free of phthalates, parabens and mineral oil, and they’re cruelty-free to boot, and the following excerpt, pulled from the Costco website, breaks down their main scent components:

“Coco Bliss – infused with cupuacu butter, coconut oil, acai oil & guarana extract.

“Berry Bliss – infused with cocoa butter, caja, vitamin c & fruit aha.”

I was a little worried Blaine, my husband, might complain that the scents are too sweet/fruity, but I haven’t heard a peep. I suspect he’s actually rather enjoying the switch-up and is making use of smelling rather feminine, as ludicrous as that sounds.

These soaps are made in Canada, which I was thrilled to see on their packaging, and they both smell lovely. I will stipulate, however, that I am someone who enjoys heavy, warm and sweet scents, so if you’re sensitive to these sorts of smells, these soaps arguably are not what you’re looking for.

I do like them, but I don’t know if I would purchase them again. On one occasion, our shower ran out of hot water, and I had to cut it abruptly short; because I wasn’t able to thoroughly wash all of the soap off of my body, it ended up causing an itchy and irritating rash that I could have gone without.

Overall, they’re okay, but not wonderful.
