For quite some time now, I have been attempting to seek out a skincare regime that banishes my acne entirely. I have dealt with acne since I became a teenager, and I still have acne at my current age of twenty-one.
When I first began encountering acne, it was quite mild. I would have the occasional pimple and contained breakouts, but nothing significant. I have noted that the older I become the more my acne worsens and persists, and it is currently at one of the worst phases I have ever been forced to acknowledge.
I have oily skin, making it more prone to blemishes than dry or normal skin, and I have quite honestly tried endless products and tactics in hopes of abolishing my acne indefinitely. Nothing has worked for an extended period of time thus far, so I figured I would try taking a more natural approach to products as opposed to gravitating towards the typical harsh and chemical-filled face products for acne.
Because of my food intolerances, I have been trying to locate a skincare line that is free of food-based allergens such as wheat to try and avoid acne flare-ups whenever possible. Consuming gluten is a definite cause of breakouts for me personally, so I figured using vegan skincare products would be a safe approach to my reasoning.
I recently purchased several products from the Amie skincare line, and although I have yet to try them out, I am certainly looking forward to doing so. On the Amie skincare website, it is stated that: “Amie is the natural skin care and beauty range for sensitive skin, created by top beauty expert, Fiona Parkhouse. Bursting with natural plant and botanical extracts and free from harsh chemicals, Amie products are gentle yet super effective. Ideal for sensitive skin that can be oily and prone to breakouts or dryness, they have been especially designed to work in complete harmony with your skin to help keep it clear, soft and radiant. Amie’s high-quality products are completely free from parabens, sulphates, mineral oils, petrochemicals and animal extracts.”
This line of skincare products is very affordable, and can likely be found at your local drugstore. I look forward to experimenting with the products and I will be sure to update you soon!
