My Favourite Dog Breeds

I would undoubtedly classify myself as a dog person, and with good reason. I cannot recall a single point in my life in which we did not have a family dog, or dogs, and they really do become part of the family over the years.

I thought it might be fun to create a list of my favourite dog breeds, in no particular order. I don’t think I would be able to narrow it down to one overall choice, or even a top three, for that matter, so here are some of my favourite dog breeds.

  • Rottweiler
  • Australian Blue Heeler (Australian Cattle Dog)
  • Bulldog
  • Bernese Mountain Dog
  • Bullmastiff
  • Kuvasz
  • Labrador Retriever
  • Mutt
  • Vizsla

In my life, my family has had several mutts and Australian Blue Heelers, one of which we still have today (Jake is my best friend, quite literally). As wonderful as purebred dogs are, I encourage you to always consider adopting a rescue dog if you’re considering making an addition to your family.

There is a common saying that I like to remind myself of whenever my current dog makes me laugh, smile, or genuinely happy (which is 24/7); “what did we do to ever deserve dogs?” I think this saying is incredibly accurate in describing how incredible dogs are to their owners. In most cases, a dog would give their life for their owner without any hesitation, and their relentless loyalty to the ones they love is intensely admirable.

I cannot imagine my life without a dog, and I know for certain that regardless of where life takes me, I will always have a dog at my side. They are incredible animals and are deserving of what they give, which is persistent love, affection, and loyalty. Go find your dog if you have one and give ’em a big hug.

  1. I like Rottweiler
Because Rottweilers are loyal and protective towards their owners. They are powerful, calm, trainable and courageous. They become natural guard dogs but their even temperament makes them a good social companion. They are easy to train and are highly intelligent and courageous
