I got my first tattoo when I was in my second year of University. I had a semicolon tattooed on my left wrist, the semi-colon representing its affiliation with mental health awareness and the semicolon movement as a whole.
I have been wanting to get another tattoo for a couple of years now, but I was unable to come up with a design I wanted to have permanently etched into my skin. Tattoos are 100% permanent, folks, so be sure you pick something you won’t get bored of in ten years.
I came across this image roughly two years ago:

It is the symbol for eating disorder awareness, though with an artistic approach. The traditional symbol is as follows:

I booked an appointment with DistINKtive Arts Studio in Brantford, Ontario, to have this symbol tattooed around the semicolon tattoo I currently have on my wrist, and further to clean up the current semicolon tattoo I have.
Holy moly, people, if you’re in the Brantford region and are wanting to have a tattoo done, I 100% recommend DistINKtive Arts Studio. My tattoo was done by Kevin, and I also had both of my helix’s pierced by Kiara, and their professional service, impeccably clean location, and absolutely mind-blowing talent is why you need to pay them a visit. I will definitely upload photos of both my tattoos and my piercings once they’re healed up, but the detail Kevin incorporated into what I asked for is phenomenal. He took the design I presented him with and elevated to another level, something I would never have fathomed, and I couldn’t be happier with the results. DistINKtive Arts Studio is the place to go for tattoos and piercings in Brantford, and I am so glad I was able to experience their artistry myself.
