When the concept of wireless headphones was first introduced by Apple, I recall thinking to myself how innovative the idea was. Being someone who works on a farm, listening to music can be tricky and also hazardous when you’re using a piece of machinery and have a wire dangling down your front. I thought wireless headphones were a fantastic idea, and when I got the iPhone XR a few months ago, I was hot to trot to get myself a pair of AirPods.
That is, I was hot to trot to get myself a pair until I learned how much they cost.
I found myself in a bit of a predicament at this point. The iPhone XR doesn’t have a headphone jack, and I wasn’t about to purchase an adapter after paying for the phone itself. So, I took to Amazon to see if I could find an AirPods dupe.
And lone behold, I did.
I purchased the Bluetooth 5.0 Wireless Earbuds Headsets from Amazon for roughly $60 with tax, and so far, I’m pretty content with this product. They’re quite similar to the Apple version, but for a quarter of the price, and to my knowledge they operate just as AirPods do; touch control, Siri access, a microphone to take calls, and of course the Bluetooth function. I can’t accurately compare their sound quality to that of a pair of AirPods since I’ve never tried the Apple version myself, but the sound, in my opinion, is great. These earbuds come in a charging case, much like AirPods do, and I’ve had no issues with the battery life so far.
I think these earbuds are a fantastic alternative to Apple’s version, and it goes to show you don’t need to break the bank for the sake of a brand name. This product has great reviews on Amazon, and I can see why.
