Looking for some unique art for your home? Read this

While Blaine and I have just about all the furntiture we require in our home, with the exception of one or two things, our walls are looking a little barren seeing as we are seriously lacking in the art department. We have a few things hung at this point, and we will definitely display some of our wedding photos once we get them developed, but our lack-lustre walls have been subliminally bothering me for quite some time now.

I thought I would hit up Etsy to see what I could find, and upon falling into an Etsy black hole, I came across a shop that makes some rather awesome macrame art.

If you’re unfamiliar with macrame, it is a form of art that uses textile(s) to create knots which in turn create some sort of shape. There is a good chance you’ve seen a flower pot suspended by a macrame holder.

BeanDaikon is the shop I discovered on Etsy making truly beautiful macrame ‘leaves,’ or ‘feathers’. Check out the image below, which is pulled directly from BeanDaikon’s Etsy page.

There are multiple sizes and colour combinations available to order, so you can basically get one of these as personalized as you would like. I got the colour combination depicted in the photo I included in this post, but you can go with whatever combination you desire (within reason).

This shop is ran by Nhan, and the customer service they provided is arguably the best I’ve ever encountered when it comes to making purchases online. Nhan is quick to respond to any messages or question you may have, and is incredibly friendly.

I absolutely love this handmade piece, and it adds a nice pop of colour to our living room. I absolutely recommend Nhan, BeanDaikon, and the truly beautiful products this shop offers.
